1. Section the hair
The first step in maintaining a curly wig is to separate the hair into sections. 3. Gently Brush the Hair
To remove tangles, gently brush the curls using a wide-toothed comb. Regular combs and brushes can ruin the curls, making your wig look frizzy and causing shedding.
4. Restore the curls
After detangling your wig, it’s important to restore the curls. Depending on the curl type, divide the hair into sections: smaller sections for tight curls, larger sections for loose curls or waves. Gently twist each curl with your finger, letting it return to its natural pattern. If curls don’t bounce back, try twisting them in the opposite direction.
5. Store the wig carefully
Gently cover the wig with a hair net to maintain the curls and prevent further tangling. Then, lay the wig flat in the original bag or box, or place it in a sealed plastic box to keep it dust-free.
